Beautieshk: Jill Stuart Haul.

I wasn't intending on posting this so soon, especially after the item was damaged in transit (will go into that in a bit), but I'm really excited to show you and the service I received was fantastic so I'm going to share now! :)

The main point of this haul from beautieshk was this gorgeous eyeshadow palette:

Jill Stuart Jewel Crystal Eyes in 101 Smoky Quartz.

I spotted this on Mona's blog and youtube and instantly fell in love with it. I searched for more swatches and came across Kathi's blog post, after that I was completely sold. (Both ladies blogs are amazing by the way ;D)
However finding this palette in itself was quite a mission, it was limited edition and exclusive to Taiwan only late last year I think. It has since completely sold out and I was lucky enough to find it on beautieshk (still available) for below retail price.

Such a lovely palette, the eyeshadows are soft and easy to work with. My first Jill Stuart eyeshadow palette and I'm very much in love with it, although I heard not all of their quads are like this one...

The next and final purchase was a complete impulse buy as the price was quite good and I was chatting to the ladies on twitter about it and caved in. The price has since gone up though :( but I think I paid pre-order price.

The set is made out of ceramic so it's pretty heavy.  Beautiful silver detail around the edges with the J logo on each piece.

It is a very nice collectors piece to have.

Through transit the lid to the square pot (cotton wool pot) somehow broke. I instantly emailed the seller with the image and received a mega fast response notifying me that they will send a replacement. Very impressed.
In fact the service I had received from the beginning has been excellent.
During my order I noted to the seller to cellotape my package down safely as with a previous order I had made back in December the package was not sealed with tape. This shocked me especially as it came from Hong Kong and anyone could have opened it etc. I expected the seller to be more vigilant with this order (I mean Jill Stuart is not cheap!) but the next thing I hear is that my shipping method had been upgraded to UPS with no extra charges, meaning my order got to me in two days in a safely sealed bag! Super impressed and definitely recomended!

I'll keep you updated with the replacement if anything crops up :)

  3. The make up holder pieces are gorgeous! especially since its made out ceramic.
The service of that site seems really reliable and up to standard because I know some sites who don't hold responsibilty when things break in the post. Planning to buy loads of jill stuart cosmetics when I go on holiday this year :)
