Frosty winds, rays of sunshine but no warmth whatsoever, no feeling in your fingers and toes, the sight of beautiful snow (none in London yet!) and redbreast robins. I think it's safe to say winter is well and truly here.

I want to escape to somewhere warm. Anyone want to come Australia with me? :)

My winter essentials...
Those mittens above! However even though they look warm, as they are chunky knit the freezing cold finds its way through the holes, therefore I'll be layering on the gloves as well as the clothes.
My beloved circle scarf! It's really LONG, so I can wrap it around three times, perfect for me to bury my face under!

Fur lined boots!!
Leopard print slippers <3

Uggs and River Island Pixie boots.

I want this hat!! It looks so warm and cosy!

Warm blushes to add some colour to the cheeks.
NARS Super Orgasm, MAC Stereo Rose, MAC Coral Crepe Paintpot, Topshop Neon Rose

My skin has become so dry lately, I've been using the Embryolisse and The Body Shop Carrot creams, but none have been good enough for my stubborn skin :( I've been looking at Clinque's moisture surge range where some ladies on twitter have been loving. Yumeko has also recommended SK-II's Signature cream, but it's too dear for me at the moment :( Any more recommendations ladies?

I have a obsession with face masks! I love collecting them as well as using them!
Drawer full!! :P

Give me a sheet mask and I'll be happy :D

What are your winter essentials?
Stay warm guys! x

Went into town with my sister today to do a final Christmas shop.

Grabbed a pair of lovely thick mittens to brave it out on freezing cold days! Primark, £2 :)

I recently got a new BB Cream! SANA Quzulan gelo cover liquid BB Cream. I first heard about this on Yasumi's blog, then weeks later found it on Kathi's blog sale, so I nabbed it and am really liking it at the moment.

7 Things You Didn't Know

Thank you to Amelia for The Versatile Blogger award! :)

Upon receiving this award I have to:
-Share seven things about yourself.
-Pass it along to seven blogs you've recently discovered and enjoy

Seven things you didn't know...(I hope you didn't :P):

-Not many people outside the blogger world know about my blog, only my family. Not because I'm ashamed of having a blog or anything, but because it's not something that comes up in conversations. It's not something I brag about, if you come across it then yay! if not, then okay... :)

-I can understand three languages, English, Cantonese and Vietnamese (not the Southern accent though...)

-So far I have been to, Germany, America (LA, San Francisco), France (Paris), and Hong Kong.

-I'm a (UK) size 6/8 in clothes and size 4 in shoes.

-I always have to carry in bag no matter what, my purse, iPod and Blackberry.

- (This is hard!) I want to go Paris again and sit in a small cafe, watching the world go by with a book in hand, drinking tea and eating macaroons. Anyone want to come? :)

- I want to travel the world.

Cooked To Order By Proper Chefs!

A quick food post for my lovely readers!
A couple of weeks back Helen, my little sis and I ended up in a lovely Latin American restaurant for dinner.

'Fresh Latin food lovingly prepared & cooked to order by proper chefs'

The food was delicious (SO filling). Staff were lovely. And the restaurant's atmosphere was so warm, the music is really fitting too (like posh Nando's music :P). Price-wise also, is very affordable. Check out the menu here

Here was what we had...
PATO TAQUITO: Shredded roast duck & caramelised onion rolled in a flour tortilla, char-grilled & served with sticky chilli jam.

BEETROOT, ORANGE & POMEGRANATE SALAD: A superfood salad of beetroot, orange,  pomegranate seeds, feta, spinach & rocket, tossed with a chipotle & olive oil dressing.

CHILLI: Warming chilli braised in spiced tomatoes, chunky beef steak & black beans, served with garlicky rice, warmed soft tortillas, soured cream & corn tortilla chips.

MOQUECA: Traditional & indulgent; a creamy coconut curry with sweet potato, palm hearts & sugar snap peas, peppers, garlic & sweetened with tomatoes, made popular by Brazilian Chef Dada. Served with rice, sweet chunks of plantain, spicy salsa & crunchy coconut farofa (toasted manioc flour) to sprinkle over.

The plantain and salsa with the curry.

BURGER: Las Iguanas butcher’s special recipe mildly spiced beef burger, in a toasted bun with melted cheese, beef tomato & rocket with chipotle ketchup & fries.

We went to the one in the O2:

I need you opinion please :)
Received my Dorothy Perkins order yesterday! I bought a cape style coat and some arm warmers to pair it up with. I didn't have any time to check out the quality of the coat and try it on in stores, therefore I decided to chance it as I had a 25% off all orders code, and I guess I could always return it...

I first saw this coat on the lovely Michelle's blog. She featured the camel colour of the coat but my size was sold out, therefore opted for the black version.

:( Such a beautiful colour!

I tried on the coat this morning, my dad said it looks nice, brother said it looked okay (tsk boys eh?), all the females of the household were out so I would love to know what you ladies think :D I'm stil hmm-ing and ahh-ing about it...
Of course I will also team it up with a thick cosy scarf :P
Thanks in advance!

Coat, currently 10% off. Online and for a limited only!
Armwarmers, currently 20% off. Online and for a limited only!

There Is Never Enough...

...Places to explore in London.

Born and breed in SE London, there are so many places in the heart of 'my country' that I have yet to enter and explore, even the obvious of places.

Where do I even start?

I am a huge fan of the beautiful Yasumi's blog, Worship at the House of Blues. Her blog is so unique, filled with such a huge selection of posts from beauty and food to her handmade items and her travels in her own town Dalston.

What better place to start.

I had a few errands to run before meeting up with my bestie and on my travels I realised that I would be passing Dalston Kingsland via the Overground, therefore I decided to pay a short visit.
I'm usually a wonderer who would get lost but can actually find the place I intended to go...eventually.
I'm pretty surprised how I was able to find my way pretty quick, I felt like I knew where I was going :P
Dalston was very quiet yesterday. Passed a few interesting shops and a market and a huge Oxfam! (Sooo annoyed that I forgot my camera! :( )
If you read Yasumi's blog, you'll know that she recently donated a few handmade items to her local Oxfam. Such a lovely and inspiring gesture! ♥
So I went in the admire her gorgeous work. That Oxfam was one of the most nicest one I had been in to, not to mention massive! The people in there were really lovely and had a great sense of humour. I saw Yasumi's work and came out with a few bits :D

It's one of the best feeling to be able to support someone's work and to make a donation to charity.

Yasumi's handmade items I bought :) (The pics don't do it any justice. SO wonderfully made!)
Two lovely clip frame purses, LOVE the fabric print and the lining! A beautiful lacey necklace. And Yasumi's business card :D

I also picked up this CUTE ring holder!
Isn't he adorable?! It's really heavy so would be able to hold quite a few rings.

Dalston I will be back! :D

Flash. No Flash

I also picked up the latest edition of Glamour magazine where there had a free bottle Nails Inc nail polish. I grabbed Hampstead Heath which is pretty dark raspberry shade. I'm also on the look out for Jermyn Street!

I had such a lovely day yesterday, exploring and seeing my best friend after so long (we can never get a day off together!), filling our stomachs with Starbucks and Korean food :D

Hope everyone is having a great start to the week!

Bad Fairy Gone Good!

MAC Bad Fairy

Out of all the nail lacquers that I purchased from the Disney VV Collection, Bad Fairy has to be my favourite.
What I love about these polishes is that under different lighting shows a illusion of different shades. This particular polishes is so pretty, gold one minute, magenta another.
I can't stop looking at it! XD
If you missed out of MAC's release, check out Accessorize's Illusion Pink Spice Polish. It looks pretty similar! :)
