Sigma Brushes

Sigma brushes have been the talk of the blogging/youtube world for long period of time now, apparently comparable to MAC brushes, the overall opinion of these brushes have been positive.
Recently Sigma have re-vamped their website into a easlier to navigate site. Previously they sold a small variety of individual brushes and concentrated on their brush sets, however the new site offers buyers the opportunity to purchase individual brushes and create their own customised brush kit. they have also changed the names of their brushes!
This provides buyers the opportunity to try the brushes they want and need in their own kit. It also makes it easier for those who wants to try a few brushes at a time.

With this being said, I decided to give you my opinion on the small collection of Sigma brushes I own.
A quick overview of these brushes before I got into in each one individually, otherwise I'll repeat myself over and over :P All the Sigma brushes I own are really great quality and really soft. I haven't experienced any excessive sheading (just one or two when cleaning the brushes) with any of these brushes.

F45-Buffer Brush

This brush is quite densely packed with makes the application of mineral foundation or powder go on evenly and creates a lovely flawless finish. I use this brush to apply my setting powder and it leaves the skin incredibly soft. It's also a great size, not too large nor too small.

F35 (previously SS165)- Tapered Highlight Brush

This brush is so cute! It's nice and small, perfect for highlighting on the apples of your cheeks. It's not as dense as it may seem, the tapered shape can go from tapered to flat depending on how much force you put on it. This gives you the control of using the brush on the small areas on your face (nose) or the larger areas (cheeks). My favourite highlighting brush :)

F25 (previously SS132)- Tapered Face Brush

This is the larger version to the F35, exactly the same by bigger and suitable for powder or blusher application. The F25 is slightly looser in density than the F35.

E50 (previously SS227)- Large Fluff Brush

Another cute brush. So soft! It's a densely packed brush for perfect precision. I use this to highlight my brow bone at the moment, but it can also be used to apply eyeshadow in one swipe :P or used to contour the corners of your nose. A lovely must have brush!

F80 (previously SS197)-Flat Top Synthetic Brush

I featured this brush previously on my blog. This was the first brush I purchased from Sigma and still totally love it. Perfect for a flawless look, it's such a dense brush which I used to buff in my foundation. Love the finish it gives, it blends the foundation into my skin so well. This brush is one I would definitely be re-purchasing.

I currently have my eye on the small contour brush (F05) ;)

FrontCover Miss Behaving Shadow Set

Currently at Boots, Frontcover's 2010 collection are half price! :D Check them out here.
I searched through many Boot stores to find and have a peek at these amazing palettes and sets, but sadly most stores didn't carry them or were sold out. I did however swatch the testers and am in love with the 'Easy On The Eye Hot' Palette. It's so pigmented and so pretty, only £4! I've ordered it online and once I've collected it from my local store, I will swatch it for you.

One set I did manage to pick up (the last one!) was the 'Miss Behaving Shadow Set'.

The set includes:

• 1 pair fake lashes
  
• 2 baked eyeshadows in oyster and highlight.
• Double ended jet black liquid liner and mascara
• Black Kohl pencil with smudger
• Double ended applicator 

 Kohl pencil, Liquid liner, Highlight, Oyster.

The eyeshadows are not as pigmented as the pressed shadows I swatched, however with a good eyeshadow base or primer the oyster shade shows up pretty well. The highlight shade, I find works alright as a highlighter but not great.

The liquid liner has a great brush that makes applying very easy. The colour however needs to be built up in order for a intense darker shade. This is the first time I've used a liquild liner and it's worked pretty well :)

The mascara brush is a little different to what I've seen in a while. It's a spiral formed brush which gives lashed a nice even coverage without the clumpiness.

The kohl pencil is so creamy! It's actually my favourite item from this set. It applies so easily onto the waterline with no effort needed. The smudger comes in handy too :P

The lashes are the second favourite item from this set. They're not too long, nor too thick, therefore are one of the most natural lashes I own, which I prefer. (Pic taken after I used them, oops messed them up XD)

Overall, this is a nice set to own. However I don't think I would have paid the full price of £15 for it. Yay for half price!

G-Market Haul! Mini Samples Giveaway.

G-Market is my secret obsession. Ok, so not a secret anymore, but I love shopping from there.
For those of you who are not familiar with G-Market, it is like the Korean version of ebay in terms of sellers listing items through one website. However with this particular website, no bidding is involved you just add items (max. 30) from as many sellers as you choose, pay and let G-Market do all the work. Your order from each seller will go through to them through G-Market and the sellers will then send your products to the G-Market Warehouse. Once everything you've ordered through G-Market has arrived into their warehouse, they will then pack your parcel up and send everything to you in one package.
You can get many Korean brand make-up and skincare products for really cheap, sellers also do really good sets and deals. Clothing and shoes are also really cheap and good quality. You can practically find anything Korean at G-Market :D
There are a few pointers you should know about G-Market.
-G-Market don't unwrap the parcels from each sellers and repackage it. They will put each individual box/package into another box, so when your package arrives, it will arrive in a huge box. You'll see in my pictures later :P
-They always use EMS to send your package. So Parcelforce in the UK. This means shipping will be more expensive, therefore doing a larger haul would make more sense rather than just buying one item. This is my smallest haul from them and I have eight items. EMS is really fast, usually five days.
-Although there is a English version of G-Market, 99.9% of the listings are in Korean. I, sadly can't read Korean. I just cross my fingers, match up the words, check using google translate, and hope for the best. You need a lot of patience to do this as there are many listing that have more than one item listed. If I can't find it I just give up.

I have ordered from G-Market a few times now and am always excited in receiving the parcel and this time was no different. My first order of the year!
The order took a total of 2 days (wow! the sellers shipping the next day and it arrived in the warehouse the day after and G-Market shipped on the same day. Really amazing speed!) to process (from sellers to warehouse, warehouse to shipping package) and one day to arrive from Korea to the UK.

When the package finally arrived, I was so excited as I usually am! Look at the huge box and the other layers I had to go through before getting to the actual product.

I bought from seven sellers and most of the stuff I received were part of the deal that i got (gift with purchase) and generous samples.

Leopard Print! ♥

There have been many leopard print nail designs and tutorials in the blogging world and I've decided to jump on the bandwagon. I had a sudden urge to do something different :D

Base Colour: Essie California Coral

Sorry for the huge pics, but the colour shows much better large although I don't know if you can see the pink much :S

Essie's California Coral is a shade I recently purchased and I instantly fell in love with it. It's more of a pink coral rather than a orange coral, which could be why the magenta pink spots for this design is harder to notice.

This is my first Essie nail polish and I am really impressed. With only one coat of polish, the colour is amazingly opaque.

It is also my first time attempting the leopard print design and it was a lot of fun. It takes lots of patience and a steady hand especially for my right hand (being right handed). I can't wait to try out more different colour combinations.

While we are on the subject of leopard print, I received a new bag in the post (I know, another bag! My endless obsession).

Paul's Boutique creates amazing designs, no every two items are identical. I have a couple of their quilted designs which are really good quality. Their charms are so cute too.

Lancôme Hypnose Mascara Set

The Lancôme Hypnose mascara set is the latest value saving kit that has sold out in stores. 

I spotted these a few weeks back in House of Fraser but never picked one up. I wish I did as trying to find one became a mission! 

When I was out with Lai Ying last week, we searched all the main stores which carried Lancôme for this kit. Sold out. I searched the stores of Oxford Street. Sold out. Finally I was able to find it online :D

The kit consists of three products.

Hyponose Mascara.

As you can see the brush is nothing special, just a normal fiber bristle brush. It however does give lashes extra volume.

Six times thicker?  Thicker. Yes. Six times thicker. No.

Perfectly separated. Yes.

I really like this mascara and the results it gives. My lashes are really short and fine so any kind of volumising is a plus for me :)

Le Crayon Khol

This khol is really soft. It glides on my waterline so easily and is really long wearing. The colour is buildable from a light grey shade or a intense dark black.

I don't know if you can see in the first picture but there are two layers of liquid which when shaken looks is a cloudy liquid like the second photo.

This eye make-up remover is lovely! It's so gentle and leaves the eye area so soft and make-up free.

This kit retails for £20, the price of the mascara alone, so this is a really good deal! If you can't find it in stores check out the retailer's online store.
