Reflection & Bond Street Haul

It's been over 24 hours since Uni finally came to a end, assignments completed and handed in, exams done and dusted. Here's hoping results are alright *fingers crossed*.
So that's it. 16 years of education is over!
As much as I feel relived now this huge weight is off my shoulders, I miss it. My daily routine for the past three years is no longer a journey i have to follow any longer, and the people, especially those amazing people who've made this journey so much easier and bearable. I love you guys!
Through these past few years as much as I've laughed, smiled and grown as an individual, I've also cried, pulled my hair out, made feel so incompetent and like crap off someone's shoe. There was that point this semester that I wanted to give it all up, even at the final hurdle. I was at my lowest.
BUT I made it to the finishing line though, and it was all thanks to the beautiful people around me. Whether I've known them for years, months or days, I'm so glad they are in my life. I was able to confide, rant, cry, sit in a comfortable silence with them. One of my best friend even brought me a 'book of encouragement' a cute little book full of encouraging quotes and sayings, as cliche as some of those phrases were, they helped and I bring it with me wherever I go.
I don't what I'm trying to say here, but I guess i Just want to let it all out :)
Cherish those around you, they are special and rare. Thank them, hug them, tell them they're the best.

I'll take this opportunity to thank you guys too. Thank you so much to every single one of you guys who read and follow my blog. It's been less than half a year since I started this blog and I would never have thought that I would get so many followers. You guys are amazing, thank you for your support! ♥♥♥

In celebration of my first day of freedom, I decided to shop till my heart's content.
Oh but before I go into the haul, I received a few things in the post this morning. My first excitement for the day!

ASOS: I love this gorgeous necklace, the length is perfect for the summer. The plait detail is really pretty, and the trio of birds is such a cute touch.
And yay! My first piece of Disney Couture jewellery, and it fits! My arms are really small, so i was really happy that this bracelet fits. It had a magnetic clasp and along one half of the band is 'think of a wonderful thought' so cute!

Love Me (130), Pink Excess (010), Be Bold (120)
These Rimmel Colour Show Off Lipsticks came in three separate packages! One for me, Two for my sister. We won them!! I was super excited when I opened all three of them and  immediately messaged my sister at school. I haven't tried them out yet as I didn't know if they were shades that would suit us. I swatched them in Superdrug later that day, they are really lovely colours, still not sure whether i would use them...but was still happy nonetheless and they smell amazing. Sweet.
Make sure you sign up to Rimmel's website, where you can enter their promotions for a chance to win products. They also occasionally send you emails to enter competitions too. We've won a few times, so chances are pretty good.
Ok, so onto the haul. After taking the train and arriving into London Bridge, I contemplated on whether I should go Convent Garden or Bond Street. I decided Bond Street as there were less interchanges and I was lazy :P

Today they had 10% off all beauty and fragrance, I picked up this opportunity to had a snoop around.
D&G Mini Collection. SJP NYC (The perfume next to SJP is Diamond from Next)
I went perfume crazy today. The D&G collection came with a free pouch, these are five of D&G's popular fragrances in 20ml bottle, all are unisex smells. My favourite is 18 at the moment.
SJP's new fragrance was a instant love, it's smells so light and fruity. I bought the smallest size to fit in my bag!

I can never resist Selfridges!
MAC Paintpots in Groundwork and Coral Crepe
Both from the Prêt-à-Papier collection. These paintpots are lovely and creamy with a hint of shimmer. The staying power is amazing, I tried to washed off the swatches with water, does budge. With soap it was easily but still tough to completely wash off.

Topshop Nail Polish in Sunset.
A lovely corally pink shimmering shade, can't wait to try on!
Topshop Blush in Butterscotch
A lovely shade to highlight, or just to bring a glow to your cheeks. I can't believe i missed it when I first checked out the range.

Freedom leaf ring (adjustable). Diva ring set.
My favourite is the crown ring, it's so cute! I have the leaf rinf in gold already and decided to get the silver too :)

Finally back in town, from TKMAXX
Yumi dress.
I really like the floaty look. The ruffles are really nice along the neckline and at the bottom.

That's it! I dread to think how much I spent... XD
Hope you have a lovely weekend, and good luck to those who still have exams and assignments!

L'oreal Paris; Solar Expertise Sun Protection

The weather here in the UK has been beautiful. The sun is in full affect, barbecues are out, skin baring for all to see XD
And that skin has to be protected! My favourite sun protection is from the L'oreal Paris Expertise range.
It's the Active Anti-Winkle&Brown Spot Tinted Matte Fluid Protection, wow that's a handful.
It has a very high protection of SPF 50 and UVB 50.

What it claims to do:
- Protects your skin against the harmful effects of the sun including premature skin ageing.
- Helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles and helps prevent brown spots.
- Combines the protection of a cream with the light texture of a fluid.
Sounds good. In the past I had noticed some brown spots under my eyes, I'm not sure if it was the sun which cause this...but gave this a go nonetheless.
When expose in the sunlight, I usual buy sunscreen with at least SPF 30  to keep my skin well protected. This sun protection is a little nozzle applicator and is tinted.

Although it's tinted; when blended in, it leaves a lovely matte glow and a slight tint to the skin rather than any coverage. The consistency of the protect is very runny and watery. It smells lovely too, summery :)
I put this on after my moisturiser and under my make up. I love how silky it makes my skin and it doesn't leave that greasy, sticky feel that I find other sun protection does.
However it is rather pricey, £11.75 for 50ml from Boots. I got this online with a buy one get one free offer. All good sun protection are pricey though, but it's for your health as well as looking good. A great investment, also a little goes a long way.

What sun protection do you use?

Enjoy the sun! (hopefully it'll last!)

Retail Therapy :D

When I'm stressed, I hit the high streets. When I hit the high streets, I is what I've bought over the past week.

From Zara; Alice in Wonderland Inspired ♥

 Skincare&Make-Up Haul

The Body Shop; Vitamin C Skin Reviver, Vitamin E Face Mist, Vitamin E Sink in Moisture Mask.

3 for 2 on Skincare and Make-Up at the moment, so i picked up a few products for my dried skin. There are many positive reviews online, therefore I chose these three.
I've been using the face mask every night for the past couple of days, so far so good. You can use it two ways; apply on for 10mins and tissue off or for intensive treatment leave it on all night.
Personally I find that it's quite difficult to 'tissue off' after 10 mins as it has already sunk into the skin, it's like a thick moisturiser consistency. A more detailed review will follow.
I've also used the face mist a couple of times, it's very refreshing. I've used this product on top of make-up when my skin looks dried. Honesty it does the same job as MAC's Fix+ in the element of it making your skin look less dried and flakey. I'm not sure yet, review of this will follow too.

Boots; Nail Inc Nail Polishes in (from left to right) London, Paris and New York.

These three shades and one more (Milian, red) are limited editions, they are only available in Boots who are collaborating with Diet Coke to provide you with these four beautiful colours for free with every two purchase of bottled diet coke.
So yeah, I bought six bottles of coke. Not all for me mind, I have a big family :D And I used my Boots points so I got the cola free too! XD I will probably get the last shade too, the offer goes on through to the end of June. My friend swatched all four shades and they are definitely lovely additions to your collection and a really good deal! You can get all four shades for less than the price of a single Nail Inc. Polish (two bottles of cola=£2-ish. Nail Inc polish= £10.50)! NOTDs coming soon!

Debenhams; Chanel Coco Rouge Lipstick in 20 Rose Comete.

My first Chanel lipstick! :D After hearing and reading great reviews about this collection of lipsticks, I had been wanting one for a while now. Debenhams have a promotion currently online and in-store of 10% off all beauty and skincare and 25% throughout the rest of the stores until Saturday. Perfect chance to grab this item! I adore the colour, it's such a everyday shade and is quite sheer compared to what the lipstick actually looks like. I love the timeless packaging too. It's doesn't dry out your lips and the staying power is amazing! Love!

Topshop; Blusher in (from left to right) Flush and Neon Rose. Swatches: Flush=top, Neon Rose=bottom.

These blushers are pretty amazing. I had been thinking to purchase some cream blush as with my skin drying out, powder blush isn't a good idea. What perfect opportunity to check out Topshop new make-up range! I swatched all of the shades available in-store and these two were my favourite. They are so creamy and easy to apply and blend in. The packaging is so cute and simple.
I don't know if you can see the last photo of my swatches, but once fully blended into the skin, it leaves a really nice colour. Great to add some colour to your cheeks in the run up to summer.

Yesterday's OOTD :)

Shopping, Shopping, Shopping! Collective Haul~

The last of my long awaited stuff has come (I think it's the last!XD), so I thought I'd do a collective haul post on the stuff I've brought over the last couple of weeks.

From Boots:
John Frieda Hair Serum x2: Frizz ease extra strength and frizz ease original.
I don't use much product in my hair, just shampoo, conditioner and a treatment once in a while. However my hair does get frizzy after I wash my hair and I think it's getting dried from the constant usage of the hair dryer.
I've tried the extra strength serum and I absolutely love it. You're supposed to apply the serum on soaking wet hair, but I didn't realise until i applied it to newly blow dried hair. However it still worked, and made my hair extremely soft and frizz free. It's a oil serum but once it soaks into your hair it's fine and doesn't make your hair look or feel greasy at all.
I got two for £7.50 which is a offer still available in-store and online.
Botanics Face Soothing Cleansing Balm.
I've heard great things about this cleansing balm through Helen, I decided to buy it on a whim and try it out for myself. It also comes with a thin muslin cloth, can't wait to try it out!

Make Up
From Bodyshop:
Mini brush set.
These brush are really soft and feel really good, quality wise. It comes in a little brush holder with a mirror and velcro fastening. Perfect to keep in your bag for touch ups. It comes with a small blush/powder brush, two eyeshadow and a lip brush.
Shimmer Cubes Palette 19.
A close up of the colours, i forgot to swatch them for you :(
They are really pretty shimmery summer colours, 01 emerald sea (green), 02 sea shell (beigey nude),  03 hushed orchid (lilac) and 04 sparkling sky (blue).
I actually got that palette free as online there was a 3for2 offer and the palette was already half price at £8. I don't know how they worked it out as usually you get the cheapest item free which would have been the powder puff but yeah the eyeshadow cubes were free instead! :D

From beautyexpert:
Jemma Kidd Foundation brush and Jemma Kidd Bronze Perfection Natural Skin Bronzer.
The brush is super soft and pointed, which will be interesting to use. The bronzer was free.
The bronzer looks really dark compared to my skintone which scared me at first, but once blended in it leaves a nice tanned look. I don't know if you can see in the second picture, but it's not overly brown on my skin. It'll be great for contouring too. The offer for a free bronzer when you spend £20 or more on Jemma Kidd is still available.

From Benefit:
Full Finish Lipstick in La La Land
I won this from the Flake Chocolate promotion. The swatch seems dark and a scary shade for me as I'm more of a nude lipstick person, but the colour is quite sheer on me. It's more on the brown side but I love!

From ASOS:
Bourjois Vintage Eyeshadow Pots in Argent (silver) and Beige Rose.
I love the cute packaging of these eyeshadows. These limited editions packaging are only available on ASOS I believe. I love how pigmented they look once swatched, pretty pretty!
Christian Dior Diorskin Poudre Shimmer 002 in Amber Diamond.

Click Fragrance is a new online store that I discovered recently that does discounted products, perfumes, make-up, hair products. Check it out :D
I wanted this powder for awhile now after reading up on many reviews on it. The swatch shows the shade when I brushed my finger through the whole compact. Although it looks shimmery on my skin, once blended out, it leaves an amazing glow to the skin. Perfect for a sun kissed look for the run up to summer.
From Etsy:
Etsy is a lovely website where many sellers sell their handmade items along with other beautiful stuff.
From Run Wild Horses I got this Alice in Wonderland inspired necklace. This is so pretty and really light in weight. I adored the Victorian feel to it and the dictionary excerpt! :D
The item next to it is a ipod pouch handmade from beautiful Japanese denim fabric, with sakura print made by House of Jam. It's actually made for a iphone, but my ipod touch fits into it perfectly. This seller also makes custom orders for other mobile phones too.
Both items are made amazingly well and from such great quality materials.

You can tell how obsessed I am on roses XD
The first two earrings are from Peacocks. Bottom two are from New Look who currently have buy one get one free on all jewellery!
The beautiful teal ring is from ASOS, I love the chunky style! :)

My new bag! :D I've wanted a Longchamp bag for so long and finally got my hands on this cute one! Purchased from Selfridges, I think this design is limited as there was only like three left in-store. It's so practical and spacious, perfect for all occasions.

Now onto my clothes haul!
Primark. This top is long enough to wear as a dress, i really like the lace detail. The necklace is also from Primark, I currently love multi-chain necklaces, this particular one had chains of faux pearl too.

River Island. I had this two in my hand wandering around the store deciding which one to buy as I didn't want to buy both. But as you can see, i ended up getting both. The checked top has a hood, I like the drawstring around the waist would emphasises some shape.
The dress is made from such a lightweight material, great for the warmer weather. I love the Chinese button detail.

New Look. The lace top was a complete impulse buy after spotting the right size in the sales. I'm currently into the lace trend and figured this top would look great layer with another vest top inside. I really like the cut along the bottom of the top too.
As you know, I love wearing blazers. This nude pink one is great for the spring/summer season, great on top of dresses, t-shirt and jeans, skirts...endless possibilities.

ASOS. The Motel dress is a exclusive on ASOS and had caught my eye since it first came out, after spotting it again I had to buy. I love the nautical feel to it.
These bleached jeggings are a perfect fit, but are a size 4 in the petite range! When I buy jeans from ASOS, I always buy from the petite range to guarantee a fit length wise. But in terms on the fit around the waist and the legs, a size 8 never fits properly. I chanced this leggings for a 4 as it's elasticated around the waist and returns are hassle-free, yay they actually fit! So just a heads up to trouser/jeans sizing on ASOS, for me my normal size don't fit so make sure you check out available measurements online.

Phew! So that's it, my collective haul.
Anyways brought anything lately? Hope you're having a lovely weekend :)
