Topshop, Uniqlo, ASOS & HQ Hair Haul

After months of passing Oxford Street's Topshop, I decided to go in with my best friend after lemming for a bag.
Needless to say I found a lovely new bag and a couple of extras too :)
Before I show you my buys, i wanted to show you some photos of an amazing Japanese artist who was doing a live painting for Topshop's latest window display. Yay to my new camera, hence taking it around with me and playing with it :D
His name is Houxo Que. He uses florescent paint and with the lighting, I'm sure it looks amazing at night. Go google image his name, his work is amazing! Look how pretty the paint is when it's dripped onto the lamp.

Back to my haul, I got a lovely Nica bag and a really cute Japanese vest top.

Off to Uniqlo, who has some really cute Disney and Warner Brothers t-shirt for a great price at £6.99. I had to get one!
Cute! XD

While I'm on the subjects of hauls, here are a few online ones i received in the mail recently.
Horseshone ring. <3

Gorgeous multi-chain necklace with ribbon tie.

Got this in the post this morning from HQ hair.
NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Fiji.
Buying a new foundation online is hit and miss, I got this shade after researching and was lucky enough to pick the right shade. I tried it on this morning and already love it, will review it soon.

Anyone hauled lately? :)

Amazing People At 'An Evening With Jasper Gavida and Miele' & FOTD

Last month I was lucky enough to attend LFW and have the opportunity to see Jasper Garvida's upcoming A/W collection sponsored by Miele.
A few days later i was contacted by Claire from foreverbetter, who asked me if i was interested in attending a event where we were able to meet Jasper Garvida himself. Of course i said yes, after attending his fashion show i was completely wowed by his collection.
The event was last night, and i got to attend it with some amazing people! Met up with Helen and made our way to Oxford Circus where we meet the lovely Lai Ying and Rachel (You girls rock! :D). From there we walked in the horrible rain to Miele's new London gallery, which is so beautiful and i would love to live in it! XD
I'm so annoyed that my camera broke on me that afternoon, therefore couldn't take any pictures of the event. But check out Lai Ying's blog entry and foreverbetter's flickr for some photos.
The event itself was really interesting and inspiring. It started with a introduction about Miele and their amazing washing machines, and i must the lady was soo good at her job and i'm sure completely sold everyone in eventually buying a Miele washing machine!
The interview with Jasper was really nice, he's a really sweet man and has achieved a lot in his career so far. It was really inspiring. The A/W collection is simply beautiful, I love every single piece and would really like to own one :) My favourites are his little dresses, we were able to touch and feel his designs and they are gorgeous!
I'm excited to see what Jasper has to offer in the future, i'm definitely going to be follow him as he moves up in the fashion industry :D
Thank you to the amazing Miele, foreverbetter, Jasper Garvida for giving me this opportunity to attend the event. And to Helen, Lai Ying and Rachel for coming with me XD x

Lipstick Swatches: MAC & Jemma Kidd

I have a few new lipsticks that i wanted to swatch and show you. I thought i'd do them now as some are selling out quick and one has a really good deal attached to it :)
Firstly the new MAC Viva Glam one's i purchased the other day:

Viva Glam Gaga (pink) Viva Glam Cyndi (darker pink)

I total love both lipsticks, i've tried them both and they're not drying yet they're not exactly moisturising. It's like you have nothing on your lips. Viva Glam Gaga is described on the website as a light blue pink shade and Viva Glam Cyndi as a light reddish coral. The lipsticks shades once applied onto my lips looks nothing like the shade that you see as soon as you open your lipstick. The swatches on my hand is the colour after a good few layers, these lipsticks are quite sheer. But i love that element to it, that you are able to build upon the colour however you feel like. Gaga is now out of stock online and many stores, so make sure to grab one if you see it! Also remember whenever you purchase a Viva Glam lipstick or lipglass, you'll get entered into a competition to see Lady Gaga in concert! And proceedings go to MAC's charity.

Next is Jemma Kidd:

 Ultimate Lipstick Duo in Juliette
I purchased this from lookfantastic.com, who ships really quickly! After attending the Rachel Freire's LFW presentation and meeting Jack, the head of make up, who after talking about Jemma Kidd's duo lipstick, i knew i had to try. Lookfantastic at the moment are doing a promotion that when you but a Jemma Kidd product you will get a Hi-Shine Silk touch lipgloss free, also they have a huge sale which means you'll get a better deal! So I got the Ultimate Lipstick Duo in Juliette, a nice light mauve-y pink shade on one side and a lip balm/conditioner on the other.
I really like this creation as i tend to forget to apply lip balm before lipstick, this way i don't forget! The lip balm is really moisturising.
So with this lipstick i got a free random shade lipgloss:

Hi-Shine Silk Lipgloss in Oyster
A really nice oyster colour lipgloss that isn't sticky at all. It is really shiny though, a little too shiny for my liking therefore i'd have to blot it a little.

Oyster & Juliette.

I'm building up my collection of lipsticks which i only started this year! I love them!
Any favourite lipsticks?
Have a lovely weekend :)

Mini Haul: The Body Shop & MAC

After stressing myself out on uni and a presentation for today, i decided to go and do a little retail therapy after I finished classes.
I had seen around forums and blogs that people from the UK had been purchasing the new Viva Glam lipsticks, therefore jumped at the chance to go see for myself.
Before my stop to the MAC store in Covent Garden, i had a peep in the Body Shop.
The Anita's favourites are buy one get one free at the moment, so I picked up two more of the Carrot moisture cream :)

Then MAC...
Viva Glam Gaga. Viva Glam Cyndi.
I couldn't resist but get both. I love the colour and their pretty signatures! I will be doing swatches in a separate lipstick post :) I also love the fact that the money goes to such a good cause (MAC's AIDS Fund). Viva Glam Gaga is already out of stock online! (in less than 24hrs when i last checked). So hurry and grab one before they go!
I want to get more Viva Glam lipsticks, the colours are really lovely.
Currently if you buy a Viva Glam lipstick, you can enter a competition to win Lady Gaga concert tickets to her Paris show in May :) Lipstick? Charity? Lady Gaga? Perfect, go get them! :D

OPI NooDoo VooDoo

A quick break from uni work to show you my new favourite nail colour...OPI NooDoo VooDoo
Isn't the colour gorgeous? It's a pinkish, reddish beautiful shade. It's so unique, reminds me of a dragonfruit :)
From the bottle, you can see a gradient of light nudely pink to the original colour, it's so pretty!
I love it and it's only with one coat! OPI nail polishes are definitely recommended, for me it lasts a good five days or so.

Sorry for the lack of updates, uni is taking over my life!
Have a lovely week! :D

My Make-Up and Skincare Storage :)

This is where I keep most of my skincare and make up :)

Acrylic partition from Muji. Make up brushes, eyeliners, lipglosses, lipsticks, and make up I frequently use.

Storage drawers from WH-Smith.

Some drawers are empty or unorganised but here are a few overfilled ones :)

The plastic drawers contain skincare stuff, yep all of them. I have a lot of stuff :D

All my individual masks. Face, eyes and nose.

More masks and LUSH. Soap and Glory and other bath and hair products. Korean and MAC skincare products.

Samples and eyelashes. Skincare care stuff I frequently use.

Muji shoe boxes XD I got them flat packed in a pack of six i think. Contains some of my make up kits and a bit of everything else.

I'm running out of space in my room! As you can tell, I'm a collector of many stuff, especially asian skincare :)

[Mini Tutorial] Midnight Magic Eyes

Created a look with the masses of eye colours I have. This look as you can see can be seen as a different colour depending on how much light you are exposed to. It's really quick and simple to do, read on if you're interested :)

Products used:
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Too Faced Smokey Eyes Kit, colour used: Midnight.
Naked Cosmetic Pigment in #SN-06 (Black)
Barry M Dazzle Dust in Petrol Black
MAC Fluidline in Black Track
GOSH Black Ink Velvet Touch Eyeliner
Revlon Doubletwist Mascara.

(Sorry I didn't take pics to show the process, hope my simple steps are clear.)
1)Prime your eyelids.
2)Using a dark blue colour cover the whole lid. Then using a blending brush, soften out the harsh lines and smoke out the colour towards your brow bone.
3)Next using a black pigment or eyeshadow pat it onto the outer corner of your lid and blended it inwards towards the centre and along the crease.

4)Using Barry M's Petrol Black Dazzle Dust, pat on a thin layer of the colour from the centre outwards to create the glittery magic effect.

5)Line you lower and upper waterline with a black eyeliner and line the top of your eye with a black gel or liquid liner.
6) Add mascara and you're done!

Full Face Look:

Face:
Dr Jart Black Label BB Cream
ELF HD Powder.

Monthly Bests: February

Four make-up favourites for February, you can probably guess as i use them loads from my FOTDs :P
Make Up Forever HD Foundation.
I have been using this foundation ever since i purchased it at IMATS back in January and i absolutely love it, it's my HG foundation at the moment.I have this in Soft Sand and it's the perfect match, it's a medium consistency with a medium to full coverage, it is buildable upon preference. As you see from my FOTDs the foundation leaves a lovely finish. It's doesn't feel greasy, it's really light and soft on the skin.

ELF's HD Powder.
This powder over the MUF HD foundation is the perfect combo. The powder makes my skin that extra softer, it sets my foundation throughout the whole day. For £6 it's a bargain and can last you for a good while.

Revlon's DoubleTwist Mascara.
My HG mascara. Will definitely be re-purchasing over and over again. I love it! It makes my lashes look thicker and fuller. The applicator is both a brush and a comb, it alternates between the both all the way round which is a downside. I don't know if you can see on the photo the applicator grabs a lot of product which means i have to scrape some off on the side of the mascara tube, and it's doesn't comb through your lashes well also. Therefore i would have to either comb it through with a eyelash comb or use my Rimmel Glam'Eyes mascara brush.

Benefit's Coralista.
A beautiful coral blusher that i totally love using! I never used to really use blusher as i would resembled it with bright pink rosy cheeks which i wasn't a fan of. But after trying a few subtle blushers, corals have become my favourite. It's such a beautiful shade, i've even got my sister loving it! :D

And a fashion love...

Thick Knitted Scarfs.
The weather here is just all over the place, the sun will be out on moment and then they'll be a weird influx of freezing cold wind! Long knitted woolen scarves are what i've been wearing a lot lately. They're thick, warm and fashionable. I would wrap it around twice if i prefer a shorter scarf look, or just the once for a more flowy kinda look and bury my chin into the warmth of my scarf. ^^

What are you Feb favs?
Have a great weekend!
